This weekend I created a new design in my finger puppets and stuffie plush creations.
Bunnies.
I am looking forward to the Mega-Craft-Zilla on March 16th (before Easter) So I figured Bunnies would be a fitting item to sell.
I enlisted Kyles help cutting. He bought me a rolly cutter for Valentines so my fingers wouldnt be bruised from cutting with scissors so much. He sat down and knocked out 15 full blown bunny stuffie bodies! I like doing the faces so we were quite the team!
I am excited about going home tonight and continuing to work on them. I am hoping to have a major stockpile for my first solo craft show in Florida!
I will post photos as soon as some of them are complete!

I have found a second "Love"
Paper. Always has paper been a big deal to me.
I read books so frequently, I prefer it over television! In fact we are probably one of the few Americans that can afford Cable but choose not to have it. I dont even endorse bunny ear antenna in my house. But that is another blog for another day.
I digress... Paper.
Old Paper.
Traveled and handled for many years, Paper.
I have semi-recently discovered the love of vintage letters, papers, stamps, ledgers, and miscellany. I have always loved an old book - but I had no idea there was a world further along out there in the Ephemera....
For those of you who dont know what that is....here is the dictionarys description.
Ephemera - items designed to be useful or important for only a short time, esp. pamphlets, notices, tickets, etc. Printed matter of passing interest.
It truly is a wonderful thing to behold for scrapbooking, journals, decoupage and collages. Le' Sigh!
I find it immensely therapeutic to disappear in old papers, scraps and tid bits that have lived longer than I.
It is now a hobby I have - much like going to garage and estate sales - looking for that perfect item.
The small issue I do have is cutting apart or to dismantle a wonderful book. I dont feel so bad if it is in disrepair, the cover missing or some pages damaged, However....
I found a 1927 Yearbook at a sale the other day. The photos are charming, the layout is rich.
It is in pristine condition and hence the conundrum - it would make beautiful pieces broken apart but it is amazing standalone. What to do... what to do....

To Start...
To kick off and celebrate my new blog for Red Marionette I would like to revisit inspirations. My inspirations are an innumerable amount so I shall just execute what I call the ever so eloquent "mind dump". I'm sure you all have done it before, writing without any specific format or route - just write. Your ideas and train of thought flow freely and become your inspiration!
And we are off!
Bare Trees, Brown, Dick and Jane, Bouncy Balls, Lemons, Alice in Wonderland, ribbons, Purple and Pink, Obscure, Umbrellas, Soft pillows, amber lighting, Labyrinth, Jim Henson, Puppets, Finger puppets, Children Laughing, Water wings, toes, sullen expressions, happy faces, Big eyes, talking, Avocado Green, Plastic Covered Couches, Terracotta, fuzzy socks, old photos, smooches, Sparkles, vegetable basket hangers, fresh bread, holding hands, coffee, giggles, twirling, cloud watching, hammocks, used books, fun words, delicate jewelry, meaningful looks, fuzzy animals, kitty kneading, big loud laughs, smile wrinkles...
Alright, thats it! Easy peasy. I find it so helpful to become inspired by letting my mind wander.
Off to create some more items!
Tata!
