Awww family photo!

Aw look at them!
Im like a proud Mama looking at all of my Red Marionette babies!

These are the last batch of the sculpted ornaments I promised to finish.

Although Sylvester the snake is spoken for, I was rather disappointed he seems rather disinterested with the whole family photo.

Anyway here they are! Some will be used for wedding favors, others will be sold at www.redmarionette.com
As usual, if you see something on my blog that isnt listed in the store, just ask! I can be reached at red_marionette@yahoo.com

I love my job...

Phillip the Penguin in a whole new way!
I finally clear coated some ornaments today! YAY!

This was taken with my cell phone at work so please forgive the quality.
I get to do this stuff at WORK! weee!
I am a studio artist for a local University. I help teach basic art and design courses and on certain days when I am not teaching, I can work on my own artwork.
These little sculpted ornaments have been off and on for several weeks. Here is the first finished one. Phillip is around an inch and a quarter tall. Maybe a smidge more. I cant tell you exactly as he is still at work, drying.. He is clear coated and has a little ring behind his head to hang from something or be your little desk buddy. I thought a navigational helper to hang from your rear view. Or a little charm you hang from your purse... oh all kinds of uses. My mother suggested a fan pull. hehe! I can picture coming across these little guys hanging from the ceiling fan, about eye level. hehe!
So, I promised I would show you all when I had them complete. These are VERY VERY limited quantity. They will be listed on etsy for $25.00. I have two moose, two bears, a brown bunny and Phillip. A few more styles may be on the way, but it will be a while. So if you are really truly interested in one of these little guys, please let me know!

Delays

There is a delay that I am currently experiencing for a product with which I was so excited to announce.
Sculpted Red Marionette Critters.

Delay.
Harsh word, but so true. I know those of you that followed my blog know I started a new job, a teaching position at the beginning of Feb. Things are still so hectic between that schedule and getting ready for my wedding in less than 4 weeks. I am a bit spread thin.
So... not to make this sound like an excuse, just more of expressing disappointment for letting you all get your sneak peek and then not delivering.

For that, I apologize.
I didnt mean to tease. Please bear with me as I promise they will be completed soon.
Ta ta to all of you out there in this great big universe! Have a wonderful Sunday.

Lions!

Once again, I have to hand it to my wonderful customers who come up with awesome requests for me to make new and fun animals! I had a request last night to make a lion prototype.

This is what I came up with. He is a little bigger than my other ornaments standing at 5.5" tall. He will be a tad shorter when he is stitched and stuffed, but he surely is the king of the jungle!

I cant wait to hear any feedback on this one! This was a challenge and made me flex my brain muscles!
