Big Girl Panties and Craft Shows

We have news for you all - We have participated in our last show.
Atomic Holiday Bazaar was the last show for Red Marionette.
We have been working, assessing, and brainstorming what we want for Red Marionette.
At times there are hard decisions to make for the future and goals in business, and this is one of those times.
I put my big girl panties on and had to step up and make a decision.
Shows are not a financially sound option nor the best use of my time, at this time. I feel the time I do have for Red Marionette (What little it is, sometimes) is better spent creating and selling online. That being said, I do work a full time job aside from Red Marionette so I have to pick and choose where I can be best of use as we grow.

I loved participating in Atomic Holiday Bazaar and giving my goodies a "set" to be displayed. I adore seeing adults and children's faces when they find the perfect critter.
I will miss the shopping and the awesome time hanging out with the other ladies and gentlemen who support and love handmade as much as we do.

Perhaps someday we will be able to get back in to the show scene again, but for the foreseeable future we are making the iconic walk in to the sunset.
We will absolutely continue to rock the online scene but as we slowly fade in to the craft show sunset, a big heartfelt thanks to all of you who visited us in person the last three years.

P.S. We have photos to share this week! My Crazy loud getup complete with wintry scene hat, twinkly show lights and the white christmas tree fully decked out in Red Marionette. Stay tuned!

You gotta be a little bit crazy....

I decided that this year I would work on the layout and look of my booth. Well I did.
Then I realized I am technically part of my booth. So I was inspired by watching The Grinch (the Jim Carey one) and the Who's who had the themed costumes. Cindy and her family all had tea/coffee and cookies on their outfits and I thought that was adorable!
I figured It would be cute to match my booth. This is the headband fascinator I put together to wear with a little updo. It is a winter scene with Spencer the Snowman and Jerry the owl around a little ric rac wrapped tree nestled in pom pom snow.
I also made a smock/vendor apron that I will wear in my favorite Jingle Jangle fabric with a ric rac trimmed pocket. Spencer has a matching scarf!
So Mr. Red Marionette has refused to wear one on his head - so it will just be me themed to match. But he did call my getup "Epic" so I suppose thats a good sign?

I will be wearing this at Atomic Holiday Bazaar on Saturday Day and Night show next weekend the 11th in Sarasota, FL at the Sarasota Municipal Auditorium. If you want to see my wares or even this bright (Garishly Lovely!) outfit in person please come stop by and say Hi!

www.atomicholidaybazaar.com if you want more info on the other Vendors. This is the only show I do throughout the year. Look for me or the full size white tree decked out in Red Marionette critters!
Its been slammed and I wanted to say thanks so much to all of you who have supported me, my family and Red Marionette this year! I promise to get back to regular blogging come January and I will be sure to check back in with all of you after next weekends show! With lots of photos!
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and I look forward to what Christmas will bring!
